About Flores & Airport

Flores is the most western of the islands that make up the Azores, in the Atlantic. The capital is Santa das Cruz Flores, on the eastern coast of this volcanic island. This is also where the airport is.

The island is the wettest of all the Azores, due to it being the closest to the Gulf Stream. About three thousand people live here and they can expect a bit of rain on most days. this also makes it very humid.
