If you are a surfer, then you will probably head off to Surfers Paradise. If so, then check the tourist board website to see if the surf is up, which it usually is!

A word of warning should you be planning to visit the beautiful beaches. Please remember to always swim between the red and yellow flags, where the lifeguards can keep an eye on you. If you do not stay within the flags, the lifeguards will not see you, should need help. Also, look for signs about jellyfish, rip-tides and sharks.

Lots of events throughout Queensland to keep all the family busy. In the month of April, the Gold Coast Film Festival runs at Southport. With so much going on, you best go to the Gold Coast Tourist Board (link below) for all events.

About Gold Coast, Coolangatta Airport - The Gold Coast Airport Terminal is open from 0440H until last night flight has cleared, but usually closes at 2300H, when the terminal is shut and passengers must leave the airport, so no sleeping over permitted. Gold Coast taxi services are located outside the arrival terminal.
