The largest lake is a salt lake lying below seas level. Pop down to the lowest part of the Caribbean and see Lake Enriquillo. Mountains, plains, valleys, river, lakes savannahs and sugar plantations make for an interesting mix. Santo Domingo is the capital. Then there is Greater Santo Domingo.
