About Gothenburg Airports

Gothenburg Landvetter Airport is now Sweden's second largest airport and serves as the main entry point to the south-west of the country. Downtown Gothenburg is just 20km from the airport, or 30 minutes travel time. Taxis in Sweden are expensive, so renting a hire car may be more cost effective.

The Landvetter Airport opened in 1997. The airport is the normal two storey structure with a small selection of cafes, shops and restaurants to cater for the weary traveller. The airport hotel is just 350 meters from the airport, should need to stay over night or catch an early flight. The city airport is more for domestic flights, but please check you ticket for the IATA codes to ensure you do not go to the wrong airport.
