In Mozambique

The currency of Mozambique is the new Metical (MZN), which is made up of one hundred centavos. Get some as soon as arrive as not get before. It sits in south east corner of Africa on the Indian Ocean. It also shares borders with South Africa and Tanzania, as well as Zimbabwe, Zambia and Malawi. It also touches Swaziland.
About twenty million people, who speak Portuguese, as well a number of local languages, live in such places as:- Ilha de Mozambique, Pemba, Beira, Vilanculos, Inhambane and Ponta D'Ouro are all on the coast. Inhambane is an old town that sits on a bay and has lots of history.
Vilcanculos is a good place to stay if you are going the the nearby sea park at Bazaruto, which is excellent for the scuba and snorkellers among us. With over eight hundred miles of beaches sitting on the warm waters of the Indian Ocean, the beaches of Mozambique attract a vast range of wet and sandy tourists. Maputo is the main international airport and Mount Binga is the highest point an 8000 feet. Where Mozambique meets Tanzania and Malawi in the north, in between the two, it has a shoreline with Lake Malawi. The mighty Zambezi ends in trek through Africa as it meets the Indian Ocean.
There are another twenty or so large rivers. Maputo is the capital on the coast, in the southern part of the country, with South Africa and Swaziland a short drive away. there is a mix of local, Christian and Muslim beliefs.
