The excess can usually be reduced to zero, or a lower amount, by paying for local insurance on arrival. The alternative are, to either take the risk nobody bumps you in a car park, or purchase excess cover insurance to cover any possible claim.

The Seychelles consists of one hundred and fifteen islands. The main island, with the international airport, is Mahe. Although most of the islands are low lying, Mahe has mountains of over 3,000 meters.
