About Sri Lanka

Colombo - Is on the west coast of Sri Lanka, but, in theory, is not the actual capital as the city next door, Sri Jayawardenapura Kotte is the capital. As the two merge into each other, then easier to refer to Colombo as the capital. this is where your flight will land, at the international airport (which, to keep things simple has three names!).

Colombo International Airport also goes by the names of Bandaranaike or Katayanake Airport. Colombo is easier to remember when you go to Sri Lanka, as it has much to offer from beaches to tropical forest, and more in between.
